Some info about my trip!

Hey, guys!!

As you know, I am going to India this Summer (June-August). I want to share some info about what I will be doing in India. Please note that I will omit/edit some of the info for privacy reasons.

Role Summary

Assist leadership of New Life in telling and showing the story of New Life through photos, newsletters, and various digital and print communications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Serve New Life staff, children, and pastors in every way possible

2. Take, collect, and organize photos

3. Write blog posts to update & engage sponsors

4. Create a system and template for bi-monthly e-newsletters for New Life.

5. Assist in updating website

6. Complete art projects on school room walls (bible verses in each class room) – get other interns to help as needed with this

7. Draft/create architectural drawings for the future additions at New Life (boys room, dining hall, etc.)

8. Participate in dance lessons with the children


Detailed Daily Schedule (Mon.-Sat.)

5:30 prayer/devotion with children (optional)

8:30 breakfast

9:15 begin work

9:15 – 1 work time

1:30 lunch

2:30 – 3:30 rest

4:00 – 6:00 play with children (volleyball, cricket, badminton, arts & crafts)

6:00- 6:45 devotion/prayer

7:30 dinner

9:00 head to bed

Update

I have decided that this blog will need more posts, more often.

I am going to let you all know that there is no general theme to this blog and it may not even make sense whatsoever, and it will even include portions of my graphics/journalism tasks from my time in India soon (I also need to write about that...)

Basically it's going to get really random all up in this blog and it will be completely non-thematic. Kinda like my brain.
